Kalampag: Igniting the Silent Voice through Cinematic Motion
- Client Lousian Theatre Ensemble
- Production House Center for the Culture, the Arts, and Heritage (CCAH)
- Tools Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Sound Forge.
- Core Concepts Kinetic Typography, Narrative Pacing, Cultural Promotion.
his high-impact teaser was developed for the 13th Theater Season of the Louisian Theatre Ensemble (LTE), under the Center for the Culture, the Arts, and Heritage (CCAH). “Kalampag: Tinig ng Katahimikan” (The Sound of Silence) is more than just a promotional piece; it is a rhythmic call to action, utilizing aggressive editing and symbolic imagery to evoke a sense of urgency and artistic revolution.
Sa pagsibol ng isang henerasyon…” The video opens with an organic “ink-bleed” aesthetic, symbolizing the raw, unwritten potential of a new generation. By blending gritty black-and-white portraits with dynamic splashes of color, the edit creates a visual bridge between tradition and the modern stage.
- The pacing of the teaser is driven by a powerful, percussive soundtrack. Every transition is meticulously timed to the rhythm, creating a “heartbeat” effect that keeps the audience engaged. This showcases a high level of proficiency in sound design and non-linear editing.
- The second half of the teaser offers a glimpse into the daily lives and training of the ensemble. By shifting from the stylized “ink” world to candid, real-world footage, the video highlights the human element behind the art—the preparation, the camaraderie, and the raw emotion of the performers.
One Heart, One Soul: Orchestrating Institutional Heritage
- Tools Adobe Premiere Pro
- Audio Mixed by Marcus Blythe
A commemorative lyric video produced for the CICM missionary community. This project required a delicate balance between solemnity and modern engagement, translating a historic anthem into a visual experience that resonates with both the clergy and the youth. By integrating architectural imagery with clean, legible motion typography, the video serves as a digital touchstone for the CICM identity.
The video opens with a wide, stabilized shot of the CICM institution, establishing a sense of place and permanence. The choice of a bright, overcast sky provides a neutral yet uplifting backdrop, allowing the architectural details to stand out while ensuring the typography remains the primary focus.
To ensure the anthem’s message remained central, I utilized a clean, sans-serif typeface with subtle transitions. The typography is timed meticulously to the vocal track, creating an effortless sing-along experience. The use of soft shadows and generous kerning ensures maximum legibility across all devices.
Maintaining the institutional tone was paramount. The color palette and visual transitions were designed to reflect the CICM values of unity and mission. The slow, rhythmic pacing of the edits mirrors the steady, resolute nature of the anthem, reinforcing the theme of “One of Heart and One of Soul.”
Be Wise, Think Twice: A Multimedia Advocacy for Digital Integrity
- Role Lead Advocate / Content Creator / Editor
- Tools Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Voiceover Synthesis.
In an era of increasing digital deception, this project serves as a critical intervention for social media literacy. As the primary advocate and creator, I developed this campaign to address the surge in online scams, fake news, and data privacy breaches. By combining clear, actionable advice with dynamic visual storytelling, the video empowers users to navigate the virtual world with vigilance and responsibility.
With the global transition to a “virtual-first” lifestyle, social media has become the primary conduit for community and information. This project highlights the dual nature of this shift—balancing the immense benefits of global connectivity with the reality of evolving cyber threats.
A central focus of the advocacy is the identification and prevention of common online pitfalls:
- Scam Prevention: Analyzing deceptive schemes, such as the “rocks instead of a laptop” student case, to illustrate the importance of examining seller profiles and links.
- Fake News Neutralization: Stressing the necessity of validating sources before sharing, especially in a landscape where misinformation spreads rapidly.
- Anti-Phishing Tactics: Educating users on the dangers of branded website imitation and the critical need to verify URLs before entering sensitive credentials.
The video provides a technical checklist for personal security, advocating for the use of multi-factor authentication (SMS code verification) and strict password management. Beyond technical settings, it promotes a culture of digital respect—advocating for the privacy of others and discouraging engagement with inflammatory or harmful content.
Dynamic Motion Design for Dollhouse Dance Factory
- Client Client: Dollhouse Dance Factory (2020)
- Tools Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro.
A high-energy motion graphics project created for Dollhouse Dance Factory’s eighth season. This video serves as both an introduction and a high-impact promotional tool, spotlighting the “Junior Elite Captains.” By merging neon aesthetics with fluid, rhythmic transitions, the motion design mirrors the precision and power of the dancers themselves, creating a cohesive visual identity for the dance studio’s digital and social media presence.
The video opens with a futuristic “power-up” sequence, where the Dollhouse Dance Factory logo is brought to life with pulsating neon purple and pink lights. This kinetic identity establishes a high-energy tone from the first second, using a combination of glow effects and electric sparks to capture the studio’s vibrant culture.
To showcase the Junior Elite Captains—Aubrey, Evangeline, Isabelle, Olivia, Peyton, Skylar, and Kylie—I utilized a “shatter and reveal” transition style. Each profile is integrated into a dynamic, multi-layered background that syncs perfectly with the percussive soundtrack. This ensures that the technical motion design never overshadows the individual personalities but rather enhances their star power.
Designed specifically with a multi-platform strategy in mind, the video concludes with a clean, centralized call-to-action (CTA) for Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. The minimalist social bar at the end provides a professional touchpoint for audience engagement, ensuring the brand’s online footprint is clear and accessible.
Empowering the Elite: Motion Graphics for the Senior Elite Captains
- Client Dollhouse Dance Factory
- Tools Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro.
Continuing the eighth-season promotional cycle for the Dollhouse Dance Factory, this project highlights the leadership and artistic excellence of the Senior Elite Captains. By leveraging the established neon visual language, the video creates a high-stakes, professional atmosphere for the team’s top performers, reinforcing their status as mentors and icons within the dance community.
Building upon the success of the Junior Elite promo, this project utilizes a refined purple and pink neon aesthetic. The consistency in lighting effects and the “power-up” logo sequence ensures that the entire season’s digital media suite feels interconnected and professionally produced.
For the senior captains—Alyssa, Brooklynn, Rachel, Claire, Emily, and Miranda—the motion design utilizes a more intricate layering system. Each profile is revealed through a series of kinetic slices and geometric overlays, synchronized to a driving electronic soundtrack. This creates a sense of sophistication and prestige appropriate for the senior-level team.
The project concludes with a high-visibility social media dashboard, encouraging cross-platform audience growth. By centering the Dollhouse Dance Factory handles and the “Follow Us” CTA, the video acts as a functional marketing tool, converting viewer engagement into direct social follows.
